Union South hosts Badger Bash–Madison’s largest and longest-running public tailgating party at UW-Madison. Located just steps away from Camp Randall Stadium at the corner of Dayton and Randall Streets, this state-of-the-art building provides a full UW tailgate experience for Badgers and visiting fans alike!

Hosted three hours before each home football game, fans can enjoy performances by the UW Marching Band in the Plaza, hot-off-the-grill food, icy cold beverages and renowned Babcock ice cream. Activities also include a visit from the cheerleaders and Bucky Badger, live pregame radio broadcasts, inflatables for kids, prizes, games and Badger and Union merchandise on sale.

Watch early games on the 18-ft HDTV in The Sett pub or try bowling, billiards and air hockey in the lower level, along with beverages, pizza and other snacks. On game days, Union South also features plenty of gathering spaces for watching the band or games on multiple TVs. They are on several levels and come in handy in case of inclement weather.

After performing up to a half hour until game time, the Marching Band heads for Camp Randall through the Arch a block away, trailed by throngs of Badger fans as kick-off approaches.

After the game, stop back at Union South for the 6th Quarter. Catch the late games and grab a bite to eat. Later on Saturday night, there is live music in The Sett and a movie in The Marquee, free to UW students, faculty, staff and Union members and guests – including football fans!
