Black Cultural Center Art Collection
The Black Cultural Center has a collection of African American art on display for the public. The Black Cultural Center Performing Arts Groups also perform around campus throughout the year.

SAMARA House (John C. Christian House)

Frank Lloyd Wright’s SAMARA house was built in 1955-56 for Dr. John Christian, who still occupies the home. Considered to be one of the most complete Frank Lloyd Wright homes in existence, the house includes over forty of Wright’s innovations. However, the house is unique in that it was designed specifically for Dr. Christian, and his wife and daughter. The Christians were professionals at Purdue University, and wanted a home where they could entertain faculty and students.
Tours available by reservation only, April through November. Call (765) 409-5522 in advance to reserve.

Red Crown Mini Museum
Corner of 6th and South Streets

For a quick historical stop in West Lafayette, this is the perfect place. This museum is unique in that it is a walk-by museum that displays restored antique cars and gas station memorabilia from earlier years.  Not only does the museum contain interesting artifacts, but the museum itself is actually an old 1930s Standard Oil Filling Station.
Walk by anytime and look in the windows. The interior is open for select Lafayette events.

The School of Visual and Performing Arts at Purdue contains the departments of music, theatre and visual arts and design. The Purdue Choral Ensembles, Purdue Bands, and Purdue Theatre all offer various performances on campus throughout the year.

Civic Theatre of Greater Lafayette

The Civic theatre has been putting on shows for 75 years. Located downtown, it is a staple for entertainment in Lafayette. The theatre is especially popular for their summer theatre series at an outdoor location, and for their holiday shows. See website for show schedules and ticket sales.

Lafayette Ballet Company

The Lafayette Ballet Company has been up and running for over 20 years. Located in the historic Murdock Building, built in 1914, the atmosphere is perfect for enjoying a wonderful ballet. See website for show schedules.

Tippecanoe Battlefield and Museum

Tippecanoe Battlefield is the site of the historic Battle of Tippecanoe. Today, it is home to multiple picnic grounds and hiking trails, a nature center, a museum and a gift shop. Located just 15 minutes north of  Lafayette/West Lafayette.
