A Nightcap in Champaign-Urbana: Station 211

Station 211 is located in the epicenter of The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign’s nightlife scene, and it may own the tittle of the most energetic nightlife venue on campus. Station 211 is not the place to go if you want to have a tranquil, relaxing night with your friends, as you discuss global politics over a few beers. Station 211 is where you let it all hang out. The music is loud and the patrons are even louder.

A loud party is great, but your voice may be horse the next morning because the bartender couldn’t hear your drink order over the blaring sound of LMFAO’s I’m Sexy and I Know It, so you had to yell, “Give me two Bacardi Bombs and a Bud Light bottle!” six times before she could comprehend the sentence. No complaints, though. If you wake up after a night out and your throat is throbbing from a shout-induced ache, this is a good sign you did not slack off in the party department.

Station 211 has a massive, rectangular bar in the middle of the venue and they host a different drink special every night, so get over there as soon as possible. You won’t regret it.

Their website is really cool, as well.
