Dress Like a Hoosier

Tailgating just isn’t tailgating unless you have the right clothes on! And the Hoosiers know exactly how to do it. Girls in their cropped IU tops, long socks, red bows and guys strutting around in their frat tanks and flat bills. When the Hoosiers dress for tailgating, we don’t mess around. We might not win, but we know how to look good.

Tailgating fashion at IU is a must, everyone always gets so excited to put on their new Hoosier gear and represent their school. We love our Hoosiers! Even parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, children are covered head to toe in Indiana cream and crimson.

Some people go all out and wear crazy costumes, or bright red wigs. The ladies usually stick to the cutesy stuff like face tattoos, but some venture off into candy stripe over-alls or full body suits. You just never know what you are going to find when you step out onto that tailgating field.

Best places to purchase your Indiana wear is the Indiana Shop, Tracks on Kirkwood, the Indiana Memorial Union Bookstore, and TIS. A lot of people get really crafty and design their own clothes or accessories, it’s always a ton of fun to watch the creative ideas everyone comes up with.

IU is a school known for their hard-core tailgating and what we wear is just a part of it. We love our school and our town and we will do whatever it takes to show our pride!
