GETTING AROUND LINCOLN

 

 

FLYING

The closest major airport to Lincoln is Omaha Eppley Airfield Airport (OMA), with non-stop flights from 18 cities, including Chicago, Minneapolis, Detroit, Cincinnati, Denver, Dallas & Phoenix. OMA is approximately one hour from Lincoln. Once at OMA, rent a car or take a shuttle: I-80 Eppley Express or OmaLink.

Served by Delta Airlines and United Express, the Lincoln Airport (LNK) is located and runs daily non-stop flights from Chicago, Minneapolis, Memphis and Denver. LNK is just 15 minutes from downtown Lincoln and the UNL campus. Once at Lincoln Airport, rent a car or take a taxi.

Omaha, I-80 West (1 hour); Iowa City, I-80 West (4 hours); St. Louis, I-70 West and I-29 North (7.5 hours); Champaign, I-72 West and US-36 West (8.5 hours); Chicago, I-88 West and I-80 West (8.5 hours)

 Greyhound services Lincoln from various cities. The Greyhound station is located at 5250 Superior Street; Lincoln, NE 68504.

 

TRAIN

Lincoln is on Amtrak’s California Zephyr line, running from Chicago to Emeryville, CA. The Amtrak station is located at 201 North 7th Street; Lincoln, NE 68508.
