GETTING AROUND EAST LANSING
East Lansing itself is pretty small and getting around between the sites on campus and Grand River Ave., your feet are a great bet. But to get beyond campus without a car, consider the public bus system, Capitol Area Transit Authority (CATA).

The CATA “Entertainment Express” will get you between downtown East Lansing and downtown Lansing, stopping at many bars and restaurants along the way.  The bus runs on the weekends between 7:30pm-2:30am and is a great option for a long night out before taking a taxi back to your hotel.

Taxis aren’t abundant in that you can easily flag one down to get where you need to go on a whim.  However, there are numerous taxi companies in the area so calling one ahead of time to pick you up is easy.
