ROSE WELL HOUSE

This open air well house is located on Old Crescent amidst the trees of Dunn Woods. Built in 1908, the stone arches were originally a part of the old College Building, the first on campus. Folk lore states that a female student is not officially a co-ed until she is kissed under the stain glass dome at midnight. In addition, the couple who kisses inside the Rose Well House at midnight on Valentine’s Day will remain together forever.
